Hi all,
first speculations on the Terms Of Servce for the Android Market are coming up: a lot of considerations have been developed concerning the open approach of Google with respect to the Apple. Are you sure these considerations are right ? In the Android Market TOS , Google reserves the right to remotely remove an application from user phones, if the product violates violates the developer distribution agreement ...

Nothing less than the remote kill switch mechanism discovered by iPhone users, IMHO.

What do you think ?

If so, at least Google have stated all the conditions in advance....
Where I can read the TOS, exactly ?

The point is that Google is somehow obliged to guarantee that Android Market could be a safe place for downloading applications: users should blindly trust that whatever application coming from the Market will not be harmful.

On the other hand, I don't think that Google will audit the applications from the usefulness point of view... :o (as Apple does), so I don't see any concerns.

Moreover, it is worth noting that everyone will be able to grab whatever applications also directly from the developer of from other sources (e.g. T-mobile's apps store or the repository here are examples): with the iPhone, you have no such choice, at least not without jailbreaking it.
