Hi Jack,
Gears is a platform for developing web applications proposed by Google. It is not strictly related to Android because it is based on WebKit and consequently you can image to use it on top of any web browser which support WebKit.

In principle Gears could be supported also by the iphone, because as far as I know this device has a Safari browser and it supports WebKit. In any case, from ***URLs are hidden from guests, please register and login to view the hyperlink*** it was stated that the current version of the browser on iphone lacks of the support of whatever plug-in mechanim and this prevent to port gears on the iphone.

best regards,

barban
