Hello,

I apologize in advance if I am intruding into this thread incorrectly but, perhaps, my questions are relevant.

I am writing a location management application for Android. However, access to the maps API at

http://www.google.com/glm/mmap

, which I need to retrieve location coordinates, was disabled some time ago.

Would someone be able to tell if it was replaced, and what the current
access path is?

Alternatively, I would appreciate it if someone could give me some
information regarding getting access equivalent to that provided by
Yahoo e.g. via ZoneTag

http://zonetag.research.yahooapis.com/s ... Lookup.php

My other question is related to the suggestion to

"A good starting point could be to identify ***URLs are hidden from guests, please register and login to view the hyperlink***". What does this mean? How would I do that for the Google MAPS hidden URLs?

Thanks for your help.

Alex Donnini

Hi Alex,
as far as I know, Google Maps API are not more built-in in the Android core, but you can install them as a separate add-on (sorry, I don't know the details).

You have to be logged-in in order to see external links in the posts, if not you can read "***URLs are hidden from guests, please register and login to view the hyperlink***" instead of the link.
