Hi all,
please excuse my silly question, but I would like to know how much difficult can be to develop application for a guy which already has basic skills in Java and C++ programming in the Windows desktop environment...
I have no idea at all...
thanks..

Hi Verix,
by making the assumption you mean how much difficult is to develop applications for the Android platform, I think that one of the best answer to your question could be: "less than other platforms". The main reasons for this are:
- you can use a very well-known programming language (Java)
- you can rely on a very well-known and well-supported IDE (Eclipse)
- since the beggining, you can rely on a free SDK which it is supposed will be very well supported
- with Eclispe + the Android plugin you can develop your code in Windows as any other desktop application
- with the Andorid emulator you can debug and test your code in Windows as any other desktop application

Is it enough ? IMHO not completely, but it is a very good starting point: in the final phase of the development cycle you really would test your application in the main target devices: to do that, you can take advantage of a number of Android features that will make it easier to test and debug your applications.

So, my suggestion is: try the platform by yourself and evaluate in practice if the above considerations are really true for **you** :!:

Best regards,
Zoltan
